Appointment Criteria:
The Global Journal of Innovative Research Perspectives appoints International Editors to strengthen the journal’s global academic presence, ensure high scholarly standards, and promote interdisciplinary research across international boundaries. The appointment of International Editors is essential for maintaining the quality and credibility of the journal.
Candidates considered for the position of International Editor must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualifications:
- Possession of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.
- Active engagement in teaching, research, or academic administration at a recognized institution.
- Research & Publication Experience:
- A strong record of publications in reputed national and/or international peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas aligned with the journal’s scope.
- Scholarly Reputation:
- Recognition within the academic or research community at an international level.
- Experience as a reviewer, editor, or advisory member of academic journals is preferred.
- Ethical & Professional Standards:
- Commitment to publication ethics, research integrity, and confidentiality.
- No history of academic misconduct or ethical violations.
- Willingness to Contribute:
- Ability to devote reasonable time to editorial duties.
- Willingness to support the journal’s mission and global outreach efforts.
Responsibilities of International Editors:
International Editors play a critical role in maintaining the quality and scholarly rigor of the journal. Their responsibilities include:
- Editorial Guidance and Academic Support:
- Provide expert editorial guidance and academic support to the journal.
- Review manuscripts or recommend qualified reviewers within their field of expertise.
- Advising on Editorial Policies:
- Advise on editorial policies, scope expansion, and quality enhancement.
- Offer suggestions to improve the journal's processes, methodologies, and content.
- Promoting the Journal:
- Promote the journal within international academic and research networks.
- Encourage high-quality submissions from diverse geographical regions and underrepresented disciplines.
- Ensuring Fairness and Objectivity:
- Ensure fairness, objectivity, and confidentiality in the peer review process.
- Support ethical publishing practices and report any conflicts of interest.
- Supporting Ethical Standards:
- Adhere to publication ethics, including ensuring the integrity and quality of the content published.
- Support the implementation of best practices for ensuring transparency, accountability, and scholarly rigor.
Term & Nature of Appointment:
- The appointment of an International Editor is honorary and academic in nature.
- The term of appointment is generally two to three years, subject to renewal based on performance and mutual consent.
- No financial remuneration is associated with this position unless explicitly stated by the journal.
Conflict of Interest:
- International Editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to manuscript evaluation or editorial decisions. Editors shall recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Termination of Appointment:
- The journal reserves the right to revoke the appointment of an International Editor in cases of:
- Proven ethical misconduct.
- Breach of confidentiality.
- Failure to perform assigned responsibilities.
- Actions detrimental to the reputation of the journal.
